Super Mario Run is a game where the protagonist, Mario, is running automagically and where the player manages his jumping movements and coin picking. The gamer needs to traverse various hurdles, including abysses, foes, and barriers in his way. Gamers can either play solo in World Tour mode, allowing him to race against gamers from around the globe, or in Coin Race where gamers race for the most coins per layer. This game also incorporates the option to build custom tiers with Kingdom Builder.
