The player is a member of the crew of a submarine that is sailing under the ice in the north. The player is given a profession at the beginning of each new game – this gives access to special abilities and powers. They get different tasks and missions. In their free time, the player can go anywhere they want. There will also be trouble in the submarine: hull damage, outbreaks of disease, and attacks by sea creatures. The player must prevent them or mitigate their consequences.
